Brantford Police charged a Toronto man and seized a loaded, concealed gun following a drug investigation.
On Saturday, police say members of the Brantford Police Service Tactical Intelligence Generated Enforcement and Response Unit (TIGER) went to a Brant Avenue home to make an arrest. When officers arrived, the accused man ran away but was apprehended after a short chase.
Police say they found a fully loaded .45-caliber handgun and a large quantity of Canadian money in the accused man’s possession.
A 23-year-old man is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon, possession weapon for a dangerous purpose, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
