Jumping knives are knives where the blade can be folded or pushed out of its shaft with the help of a spring or by its own weight. They may not be sold without special permission.
The policeman himself has said in questioning that he thought they were ordinary folding knives. The prosecutor believes that the crimes were indeed committed out of negligence, but the policeman is now charged with illegal entry and violation of the Knife Act.
