The collision took place around 1 a.m. on Bemuurde Weerd Westzijde. The 18-year-old victim from Utrecht parked her scooter on the footpath and stood partly on the road herself, because the sidewalk there is rather narrow, according to the police. A car then hit her from the direction of Paardenveld police station.
