Police and activists clash in German mining village

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In Germany, police and climate activists clashed on Monday in the village of Lützerath, where a mining company has bought all the houses to be razed to the ground in order to start mining lignite. Activists protesting the impact of coal burning on the climate have moved into the empty houses and during the day tried to prevent the police from entering the village.
