    Police, sea rescue and ambulance rushed to a swimming area in Växjö just before four o’clock in the afternoon after an alarm about drowning, reports P4 Kronoberg.

    The emergency services initially stated that one person was missing from the scene.

    But shortly after the alarm came, the missing person had been found alive and the person had not been in the water.

    Three men have been arrested in Frankfurt on suspicion of spying for a foreign intelligence service, the German prosecutor’s office writes in a press release.

    Shortly after 2 p.m., the police were alerted to a traffic accident on the E4 south of Ödeshög.

    – It must be a passenger car that may have overturned, and three people must be involved, says police spokesperson Olle Elverot.

    Traffic was completely closed in the southbound direction.

    Three people have been taken to hospital by ambulance.

    – The car was upside down. The people were out of the vehicle when we arrived, says Håkan Ljung at the rescue service Östra Götaland.

    At 4 p.m., the emergency services announced that they had left the scene.

    According to the police, the person must have fallen into the water between a boat and a jetty.

    – The person must not be able to swim. People around threw in a lifebuoy until the rescue service arrived at the scene, says Sophia Jiglind, press spokesperson for the police.

  • Patient escaped from hospital and stole car – still at large

    The patient who became aggressive and escaped from the Sahlgrenska hospital in Gothenburg on Thursday evening is still at large.

    The police write on their website that the investigation situation “looks good”, but that the man has not yet been arrested.

    After escaping, the patient made his way to a nearby parking garage and robbed a woman of her car.

    He then drove from the scene and made it all the way to Mölndal where the journey ended with him driving straight into a house facade.

    The incident is being investigated as unlawful deprivation of liberty, robbery and contamination from the scene of a traffic accident.

    The heat wave in southern Europe is contributing to several large wildfires raging right now. In Turkey, at least five people have died and over 40 people have been injured during the night to Friday.

    “Five people are dead, 44 have been injured, ten of them seriously,” writes Turkish Health Minister Fahretting Koca on X, formerly Twitter.

    In neighboring Greece, firefighters are currently waterbombing a large wildfire near Vari, three miles from Athens. On Wednesday, the authorities went out and urged residents in the area to evacuate.

    Hello! This is what it says on SR’s website: “If you want to listen to Summer in P1, you can either listen directly on FM at 1 p.m., just as usual, or on Sveriges Radio Play – where you can also listen to the summer episodes afterwards” .

    You can therefore listen live on the radio. However, you will not be able to listen to the episodes in other apps such as Spotify.
