For several hours on Friday evening, the police had a major operation in Kungsängen, north of Stockholm.
– Residents saw people sneaking around the area and perceived that one of them was carrying a weapon, says officer on duty Niklas Berglund.
No suspects have been arrested, but police have made findings that will be examined by technicians.
– There is no suspicion that it has been shot, but we have started a preliminary investigation into serious weapons offences, says Niklas Berglund.
The police were alerted at 10pm on Friday evening about people with weapon-like objects in an apartment on Väster in Örebro.
– There were witnesses who saw it from the outside. We have been on site with a fairly large resource and searched the house, says the police officer on duty.
The operation was concluded without suspicion of crime.
– There were adults in their 30s and 40s who had soft airguns. They have not threatened anyone, says the officer on duty.

Security is being increased at Colombia’s Supreme Court in the capital, Bogotá, due to suspected plans for a terrorist attack.
It was during house searches on Tuesday that the police found ammunition and explosives as well as a model of the courthouse. This is stated by Chief Judge Gerson Chaverra, who does not mention anything about suspected motives behind the possible attack plans.
The courthouse was partially destroyed in 1985 after it was stormed by members of the M-19 guerrilla movement. To regain control of the building, the military shelled it for several hours. Over 100 people were killed in the unrest, among them eleven judges.
A police officer has been injured during an operation and dragged behind a moped in Kungsbacka.
The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m.
The police patrol then tried to stop the moped rider from leaving the scene after suspecting a traffic violation.
In connection with the intervention, the police ran after the moped and grabbed the driver’s shirt.
Only after being dragged for some distance was the policeman able to let go and fell.
In the case, the person was injured in the shoulder. The police have been taken to the hospital for a check-up.
The incident is being investigated as violent resistance and causing bodily harm.

Donald Trump’s plane Trump force two has been forced to make an emergency landing.
The plane took off from Milwaukee and was bound for Cincinnati.
Only after the plane took off could the pilot notice a fault with one of the aircraft’s doors.

A car has overturned in Västerås.
The accident happened shortly before 8 p.m.
Five men in their 20s were traveling in the car. All have been taken to hospital, the police say.
There is no information on the condition of the people’s injuries.
The police are investigating the accident as negligence in traffic.

There is a fire in an apartment in western Gothenburg.
Emergency services, ambulance and police have been called to the scene.

Smoke divers are working in the apartment and the apartment building has been occupied.
– There is a certain spread to neighboring apartments and stairwells, says Daniel Svensmark.

Belarus announced on Friday that a number of political prisoners have been pardoned.
According to President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s office, 30 people sentenced to prison terms for participating in anti-regime protests are being released.
The presidential office’s website states that Lukashenko “signed a decree releasing” a number of prisoners, “some of them with serious illnesses, some who have reached retirement age.”
According to the human rights organization Viasna, which is critical of the regime, 1,378 political prisoners are in prisons in Belarus.
Lukashenko’s regime, backed by Moscow and Russian intelligence, cracked down hard on all opposition after the controversial 2020 presidential election.

After two days of negotiations on a ceasefire in Gaza, the talks have ended to be taken up again after the weekend, AP writes.
