Ukraine will likely gain access to the site in eastern Poland where a robot crashed on Tuesday, Poland said. Right now, the investigation is being led by a Polish-American team.

Ukraine continues to blame the robot strike on Russia.

“We share the view that Russia bears full responsibility for its robot terror and its consequences on the territory of Ukraine, Poland and Moldova,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba writes on Twitter after a conversation with his American counterpart Antony Blinken.

NATO and a number of world leaders said yesterday that the robot that killed two people in Poland’s Przewodów was likely not fired from Russia. Instead, it is believed to have been a Ukrainian robot – fired to hit an incoming Russian robot – that crashed into the Polish countryside.

Ukraine can get access

However, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, like the US, Poland and a number of other EU countries, emphasized that Russia bears the ultimate responsibility.

On Thursday, Jakub Kumoch, adviser to Polish President Andrzej Duda, stated that Ukraine will probably get access to the impact site in Przewodów. According to Kumoch, a Polish-American investigative team is now working at the scene.

– The Ukrainians asked about access to the investigation site – if both parties agree, as far as I know, there will be no objection from the American side and access can be granted soon, he told the independent news channel TVN24.

“certain sequence”

The presidential adviser also states that there is footage of the incident.

– At one point, for a very short moment, you can see a certain sequence of events, he comments on the material according to TVN24.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on Wednesday night stood by his earlier claim that the robot that crashed in Poland was not Ukrainian.

“Based on our military intelligence reports, I believe it was a Russian robot,” he said in a televised statement.
