Poland plans to station a total of 10,000 soldiers on the border with Belarus.
This is stated by the authorities on Thursday – following the announcement the day before that they will, in a first step, strengthen the security with 2,000 men.
Wednesday’s announcement was made by Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Wasik, who then referred to a large number of migrants trying to cross the border as a result of the actions of the Belarusian authorities.
