Poland, which has decided to increase the expenditures related to the defense of the country to 3 percent of Poland’s GNP as of 2023, with the law passed in the Polish parliament recently, has started to spend heavily in the military field.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, who signed the delivery agreement for the Abrams tanks, whose sale was approved by the US Congress last February, at the ceremony held in the 1st Armored Unit in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, stated that there are historical days in Polish-US cooperation.
POLAND WILL PAY 4.75 BILLION DOLLARS
It was stated that Poland will pay 4.75 billion dollars to the USA for 250 US-made M1A2 Abrams type tanks, while the tanks will be modernized with the latest technology (Sepv3 version).
It was stated that the contract also covers the training and logistics activities related to the tanks, and that the said tanks will be deployed in the 18th Mechanized Unit and the 1st Armored Unit. (UAV)
