Pokémon GO unveils “Winter Holidays” event with 2 new Pokémon and you choose your bonus

The Winter Holidays event is coming to Pokémon GO with the debut of Flaniwal and Kolowal. There are also costumes and bonuses to pick up.

When are the winter holidays? The event is divided into two parts, and now the information for the first part of the winter holidays is known. It runs from Monday, December 18, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, December 25, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.

These are the highlights: As already indicated in a first teaser, Flaniwal will debut in Pokémon GO. This is a small ice-type whale that lives on land. His development Kolowal also appears in the game with him.

To develop it, you need 50 Flaniwal Candies. Flaniwal appears in the wild and in level 1 raids. This is what they both look like:

    All bonuses in the Winter Holidays event in Pokémon GO

    What bonuses are there? There will be free temporary research where you decide which bonus you want:

  • Double Catch XP
  • Or double catch stardust

    • In addition, opening gifts generally gives you more XP and stardust.

    Research with paid tickets: There will also be two temporary researches available for purchase in the shop. They apply to both parts of the Winter Holidays event.

    A 2 euro ticket will get you part 1 of the Sea Pug Encounters event with a holiday scarf, frigometry, and a new duck with holiday clothing. There are also two premium battle passes. In Part 2, there will be further encounters with Holiday Enton and Holiday Petznief as well as two more premium battle passes.

    Then there is a 5 euro ticket. There’s an event avatar pose, double catch candies, and encounters with costumed Holiday Pikachu, Holiday Botogel, and Holiday Duckling.
