Pokémon GO: Trainers celebrate new box with 12 strong items

In Pokémon GO there is a new “Boostbox” with several good items. Striking: unusually few coins are required for the box.

What is this box? Normally, the boxes in the Pokémon GO shop are not necessarily cheap, which has been criticized in the past. It is all the more striking when a cheap offer suddenly appears there – and there is one in the shop right now.

There you can currently find a new “Boostbox” for 399 coins. It contains the following items:

  • 5 Premium Battle Passes
  • 5 Super Incubators
  • 1x Pokémon storage upgrade
  • 1x Item Bag Upgrade

    • If you offset the individual prices for these items, you would arrive at a total of 1900 coins.

  • 1 Premium Battle Pass would otherwise cost 100 coins, so 5 would be 500
  • 1 Super Incubator costs 200 coins, so 5 pieces would be 1000 coins
  • Upgrading Pokémon Storage usually costs 200 coins
  • The item bag upgrade also costs 200 coins individually

    • So you can save about 1500 coins if you get the current boost box instead of buying the items individually.

    You should note that: Some trainers write that they only see the box in the shop after restarting their game.

    Danger: Currently the shop also features a second “Boostbox” for 399 coins, with a Super Incubator, 2 Egg Incubators and a Lucky Egg. These items would normally total around 580 coins. The price is still okay, but the other boost box is worth a lot more.

    The trainers are positive, because Pokémon GO rarely offers strong items at such a reduced coin price.

  • “Grabbed the second box as soon as I saw it. The best box I’ve seen in a while,” writes user mutucan (via reddit).
  • “I bought the second one as soon as I saw it. I needed both upgrades and the rest is basically free. I’m still undecided about the first one,” says user “sonjya00” (via reddit).
  • “The second made me buy a box for the first time in ages. More of this please!” (via reddit).
  • “Niantic just makes a good box? Impossible,” said one user (via reddit).

    • Some trainers even suspect that the strong box must have been an accident – especially compared to the other Boostbox, which offers the same price but a much weaker deal.

    At the same time, the box also causes frustration for some trainers. Because according to the current status, trainers who have already maxed out either the Pokémon or item storage report that they cannot buy the box.

    The extensions are no longer applicable to them, which is apparently why the whole box is not available. These trainers are annoyed that they can’t get the other items for the reduced price because of this.
