May 6th Raid Day brings the new Pokémon Axantor to Pokémon GO. You then have your first chance to catch it. Here we show you what to expect at the event.
What’s the highlight? The raid day revolves around the release of the Ax Pokémon Axantor. You even have the chance to catch the Pokémon in its Shiny form right at its release. The Pokémon hails from the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Raid Tag Axantor: Start, Shiny, Bonuses
When is the start and end? Raid Day runs on Saturday, May 6th. Start time is 11:00 a.m. local time. Then the event is active for a few hours and ends again at 2:00 p.m.
Where to catch Axantor and Shiny Axantor? You can find the new Pokemon in level 3 raids at the time of the event. You have a chance to catch Axantor as Shiny after the raid.
Can you evolve Sichlor into Axantor? Actually, you can evolve Scyther into Axantor. However, this is not yet possible in Pokémon GO. As of this writing, raid battles are the only way to get the Pokemon. It is currently still completely unclear when Niantic will unlock the development path.
Still, there is nothing wrong with securing strong (crypto) Sichlor and waiting for Axantor development to be approved.
What bonuses are there? During the event from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the following bonuses are active for you (unless other times are specified):
It is still unclear when Axantor will move back into Pokémon GO this raid day.
Can you defeat Axantor solo? Yes! You can meet the new Pokémon in level 3 raids. If you have the correct counters at your side, then a solo fight against Axantor is no problem at all.
