Pokémon GO: “Road to Sinnoh” starts tomorrow

The “Road to Sinnoh” event is just around the corner in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you what awaits you at the event.

What kind of event is this? The Road to Sinnoh event starts on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. and will run until Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:00 p.m. It represents the preparation and start of the global Sinnoh tour, which runs on February 24th and 25th, 2024.

In addition to some bonuses and various Pokémon, the “Road to Sinnoh” event also brings one special feature: a new legendary Pokémon every day that you can defeat and catch in 5* raids and even a limited research period in which you can get legendary Pokémon can.

Legendary Pokémon in raids and even temporary research

Which legendary Pokémon are there in raids? You can encounter the following legendary Pokémon in 5 raids in the event:

  • Darkrai* on February 19th
  • Cresselia* on February 20th
  • Vesprit* on February 21st (in the Asia-Pacific regions there is Selfe* instead and in America and Greenland Tobutz* is waiting)
  • Heatran* on February 22nd
  • Giratina (original form)* on February 23rd

    • All Pokémon marked with * can also appear as Shiny.

    What legendary Pokémon are there in temporary research? There will also be free temporary research as part of the event. If you complete the tasks, the following legendary Pokémon await you as a reward:

  • Heatran*
  • Giratina (original form)*
  • Cresselia*
  • Darkai*

    • All Pokémon with a * are also available as Shiny.

    What bonuses are there in the event? The following bonuses are active in the game during the event:

  • Halved hatching distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event
  • Remote raid limit increased to 10 per day (February 19-22)
  • Remote raid limit will be lifted (from February 23rd to 25th)

    • 2 optional event tickets are available for purchase

    What tickets are available for the event? There are 2 optional tickets available to you during the event. These cost $5 each (presumably the price will be similar in euros). The contents of the tickets look like this:

  • 5000 additional experience points for raid victories
  • 1 additional candy when catching a raid boss
  • 2 additional raid passes per day through arenas

    • Temporary research from raid ticket

  • 10 Candies for Dialga and Palkia
  • 5 XL candies for Heatran, Giratina, Cresselia and Darkrai
  • Eevee fan mask

    • Slip ticket

  • Double experience points when hatching eggs
  • Double candy when hatching eggs
  • Double stardust for hatching eggs
  • Pikachu fan mask

    • Temporary research from raid ticket

  • Encounters with the regional Pokémon Pachirisu*, Plaudagei* and Venuflibis*
