The Pokémon World Championship is coming up, and Pokémon GO is also being played. There are codes for gifts on Twitch.
When is the Pokémon World Championship? The Pokémon World Championship will take place from August 16 to 18, 2024. During this time, there will be regular live streams on Twitch about Pokémon GO. You can find the Twitch channel here.
There will also be a global in-game event for the World Cup.
What do i have to do? During the World Cup, you should watch 30 minutes of the live stream on the channel on Day 1 and Day 2. There is a gift for both. There is also a third gift for players who watch an additional 30 minutes of an “official co-stream” of the World Championships.
The codes must be redeemed by August 27, 2024 at 1:59 a.m.
What kind of gifts are these? You will receive codes that you can use to unlock limited-time research. We have summarized what is in them for you below.
How to redeem codes for Pokémon GO?
Once you have done all of that, you should be able to find the corresponding research in your game. You can then check in the diary whether it worked.
This is what the donated research brings to the World Cup
Research 1: It’s called “Pokémon World Champion” and you get it with the code from Day 1. You have to redeem the code by August 27th at 1:59 a.m.

Research 2: It’s called “Team Spirit – Super League” and gives you a research with a team selection. This code must also be redeemed by August 27, 2024, 1:59 a.m. You can choose between the following teams. We have marked possible shinies with an asterisk*.
You will also receive 8,500 stardust and other as yet unknown rewards.
Research 3: You can get them if you follow one of the co-streamers for the World Cup. You can find a list of all possible streams on the official Pokémon World Championship homepage (on pokemon.com).
As a reward, you will receive a World Cup 2024 Pikachu and other rewards. This code is also valid until August 27th at 1:59 a.m.
What are the rewards? Overall, it’s clear: The rewards are mainly for Pokémon that are interesting in the PvP Battle League. With them, you have a good chance of winning a few victories in the Super League. Basically, it’s not that easy to reach a high rank in PvP.
