Helpful new functions are apparently being introduced in Pokémon GO. The first trainers report tests.
What’s going on in Pokémon GO? It looks like several new features are coming to Pokémon GO. New graphics updates for the capture screens were recently announced and some players can already test them.
But apparently it doesn’t stop there: three new functions were apparently activated for some trainers over the weekend, but they already show what it could look like. We summarize them here for you.
You have to pay attention to this: Just like the graphics features, the new functions have obviously not yet been released for everyone. It is currently unclear when they will be available to all players.
Feature 1: The “Ready” button for solo raids
What is this feature? The “Ready” button was introduced in summer 2023. It allows trainer groups to reduce the preparation timer in the raid lobby to 10 seconds. Even back then, this was a long-requested feature, because waiting for the long raid timer only to complete the raid itself within seconds was annoying for some people.
But there was one restriction: there had to be at least two people in order to use the “Ready” button. Solo players, on the other hand, didn’t get this feature, so they still had to wait the full 120 seconds. This also makes less sense in simple raids, which is why many players continued to hope that there would be another change here.
Now it finally seems to be coming to solo players too. You can apparently press the button after 30 seconds of waiting time have elapsed, as user “Merlion4ek” shows in the Pokémon GO subreddit “TheSilphRoad”:
Feature 2: Attack tips for raids
What is this feature? This should also be practical when it comes to raids: Some trainers show that the effectiveness of their attacks against the respective raid boss is now displayed when they select the Pokémon they want to compete with.
This means: You can check much faster and more practically which of your attackers in Pokémon GO are really worth fighting against the raid boss. This is what user “Fillain” shows on reddit:
Feature 3: Heal or revive all Pokémon
What is this feature? If you are currently using potions or revitalizers in Pokémon GO, you have to tap each Pokémon individually to replenish its life points. But that can be a lot of Pokémon, especially after an extensive raid.
Here, too, there will apparently be a shortening in the future: As user “cpgxrcia” shows on reddit, a “Heal all” button will also be introduced, with which you can simply heal all affected monsters.
Other users also report another corresponding button when you use Reviver, with which you can bring back all defeated Pokémon at once. You will only need the appropriate number of healing items for this.
What else is going on in Pokémon GO? Basically, January is coming to an end and February is getting closer. With the new month comes some exciting events, such as Community Day with Chaneira, the “Road to Sinnoh” and also the big Sinnoh tour.
At the moment, however, the “final event” of January is still underway: the big Rocket takeover, which, among other things, brought Crypto-Kyogre for Giovanni and new Pokémon for the Rocket leaders Arlo, Sierra and Cliff as well as the Rocket bullies. You can also currently unlearn the useless attack “Frustration”. This event runs until the beginning of February.
