What is the master ball? The Master Ball is the best ball you can get in Pokémon GO. However, it is extremely rare and can currently only be found one way, and only once so far.
How do I get the Master Ball? The Master Ball has been available in Pokémon GO since May 22nd. You can only get it through the current “Let’s Get Out and GO” research. This special research has been available since March 21st, however the final stages and rewards were not yet available.
That has now changed: as of May 22nd, you can earn the final rewards for Get Out and GO. This includes the master ball. You get it when you have completed step 5 of the research.
Important: This research can only be obtained until June 1st. If you don’t have it yet, you should secure it by logging in. Once you have them, there is no limit to the time in which you can complete them.
How does the Master Ball work in Pokémon GO?
What can the Master Ball do? He is capable of capturing any wild Pokémon guaranteed. It doesn’t matter whether it comes from the wild, from a raid or was attracted by smoke or a lure module.

Can I get multiple Master Balls? According to the current status, you can only get one Master Ball for now. Accordingly, you should think carefully about what you want to use the guaranteed catch for.
However, in announcing the feature, Niantic also stated that “it’s not every day you get one of those rare and powerful Master Balls” and that you should “look out for more opportunities” to get more.
