Pokémon GO Fest 2023 brings 2 new Gem Pokémon and cool Shinys worldwide

In Pokémon GO there will be another global GO Fest in 2023. Now the first monsters and new shinys have been announced. We have summarized what these are for you here on MeinMMO.

Which event is it about? One of the biggest events in Pokémon GO is the annual GO Fest. In addition to three special live events, which will take place this year in London, Osaka and New York, a two-day global event will be the crowning glory. In this way, trainers from all over the world can participate in this event and secure special encounters.

Niantic has now announced which new monsters and shinys await you this year for the global GO Fest 2023. We have summarized all content for you below.

When is the event running? The global GO Fest runs on August 26th and 27th, 2023. In principle, all players can take part in it, no matter where they are in the world.

All new Pokémon & Shinys for GO Fest 2023

The biggest Pokémon GO event of the year also has a number of new Pokémon and Shinys in store for you. If you haven’t previously participated in one of the live events, you can meet two new gem-type Pokémon for the first time. Below we will show you what they are and what new Shinys there will be.

Rocara: During the global GO Fest, you will have the opportunity to meet the rock and fairy Pokémon Rocara for the first time anywhere in the world. It comes from the 6th generation of games and is also known as Gem Pokémon.

You can recognize Rocara by its gray rock-like body, from which a small head with long ears protrudes. It wears a white scarf around its neck. Its eyes are blue and it is decorated with white crystals all over its body. The monster does not have any further development.

During the GO Fest, you can encounter him in special field research. If you don’t want to wait until then, you can also secure a corresponding ticket for the GO Fest until July 5th and will be rewarded with a limited research that includes Rocara.

diancie: The mysterious rock and fairy-type Pokémon from the 6th generation of games has been suspected as a candidate for the GO Fest for some time. Now it’s official: With the help of special research, you can secure the Gem Pokémon for the first time worldwide for the global GO Fest. However, this is reserved exclusively for ticket holders.

Legend has it that Diancie is a mutant of the monster Rocara, which is also making its debut at GO Fest. The Mythical Pokemon’s body is small and grey. The lower part of the Pokémon is reminiscent of a rock from which a pink crystal protrudes. She also wears a white dress and a crown also made of pink crystals.

In addition to its normal form, Diancie also has a Mega Evolution. It is not yet known whether this will also be part of the GO Fest. You can read how strong it is in the following article:

Unknown M: Unown is a Psychic Pokémon from the 2nd generation of games, which has a total of 28 different forms, all of which are reminiscent of letters and the two special characters exclamation mark and question mark.

So while Unown isn’t an entirely new Pokémon per se, you’ll be able to meet it in its dazzling M-letter form for the first time during the global GO Fest. The Shiny form will be released at the event. However, it only spawns for ticket holders.

All habitats and spawns for the global GO Fest 2023

As you probably already know from previous major events in Pokémon GO, the wild spawns do not all appear at the same time on the first day of the event, but were previously divided into 4 different habitats, i.e. habitats, in which they spawn alternately. The habitats change every hour.

On Sunday, the second day of the event, all wild spawns will appear again, but then independent of their habitats. If you have bought a corresponding event ticket, you can also look forward to special encounters from the smoke. The following monsters await you, among others:
