Pokémon GO: Don’t ignore Community Day

This weekend’s Pokémon GO Community Day brings Galarian Zigzachs. But even if you are not interested in the monster, you should not miss the event.

When is the event running? Community Day runs next Saturday, August 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Community Day always focuses on a special monster that appears everywhere. This time it’s the Galar variant of Zigzachs that you can evolve into Geradaks and ultimately Barrikadax.

But even quite apart from the monster, this Community Day can really be worthwhile. Because in the three hours on Saturday there are a lot of worthwhile bonuses.

Community Day brings a lot of Stardust and XP

You can get these bonuses: The Community Day had already provided some bonuses anyway, but it’s now getting even better – with the Hyperbonus and the bug-crawling event running at the same time.

These multiple bonuses give you really good opportunities to increase your XP and Stardust properly.

Get Stardust: Anyway, the Community Day already has triple catch stardust to offer. So you can definitely secure that for every single monster you catch.

But: If enough monsters are caught by enough trainers at certain PokéStops with lure modules, the bonus even increases fourfold – for 30 minutes. So it pays to play in places where lots of stops are available and ideally where a few trainers will drop by.

If you now throw in a star piece, your catch stardust will be increased by half again for a limited time. So you can get sixfold Stardust if you are in the right place.

You can get a lot of Stardust with Star Piece

Save Stardust: Theoretically, you can also invest the stardust directly again – namely in trading. During C-Day, each exchange costs 75% less Stardust thanks to the Hyper Bonus. You’ll also get two additional special trades, so you can do a total of four that day.

You don’t get any additional stardust here, but at least you have to spend less than usual.

XP bonuses for leveling: Community Day runs concurrently with the Bug Crawling event. This event already gives you double XP when you catch monsters with a good, great, or fabulous throw. So here you can dust off twice the amount of XP if you pay a little attention to your throws.

But now there is also the fact that the hyper bonus also grants double catch XP. That would get us to four times the XP for at least a good throw.

If you now throw in a lucky egg, you will get double the amount of XP again – so a total of eight times the catch XP.

It remains to be seen whether Niantic will actually allow these XP bonuses to run all at once – but so far there is no information to the contrary.

The Community Day is so worthwhile: With high Stardust and XP bonuses, Community Day is perfect for collecting, even if you don’t need Galar Zigzachs.

And there are even more bonuses, from double send candies and increased chances of XL candies on at least good throws. Basically, the only thing missing is a bonus to hatch speed for eggs – then it would be the perfect bonus day.

Accordingly, the Community Day is definitely suitable if you are aiming for the next level breakthrough, for example.
