Pokémon GO: Community Day in February with eF-eM

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

In Pokemon GO Community Day with eF-eM starts on Sunday, February 5th, 2023. We summarize all information about bonuses, shiny and the event content here.

What is this event? The Community Day takes place regularly once a month, always on a weekend. Here, a single Pokémon is the focus for several hours, which then appears in all corners and ends of the wilderness.

You also get an increased shiny chance for the Pokémon and an exclusive event attack. In addition, the Community Day comes along with other bonuses.

In February 2023, the focus is now on the Pokémon eF-eM. We summarize everything important about the event for you here.

What? Community Day with eF-eM
When? Sunday, February 05, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Pokemon of the day: eF-eM spawns everywhere in the wild
Exclusive attack: Charged Attack Sonic Boom if you evolve eF-eM into UHaFnir during the event or by 10:00 p.m. local time.
Bonuses:
– Increased shiny rate
– Triple Catch Stardust
– Double catch candies
– Double the chance of XL Candy on capture (for trainers from level 31)
– Smoke and Lure Modules last 3 hours
– Surprise Encounters from Snapshots
– Bonus raids after Community Day

Additional bonuses up to 5 hours after the event (22:00 local time)
– Additional special exchange (maximum 2 that day)
– 50% less Stardust cost when trading

As usual, you can find things like stickers or the 1-euro research “Make sound waves” in the shop during the event. This should bring you more eF-eM encounters and some items. We will link the exact content here as soon as it is known about the event.

Tier 4 Raids: From 17:00 local time, i.e. after the official event, you can still meet eF-eM in level 4 raids until 22:00 local time. However, you can only challenge them on site, not via a long-distance raid pass.

If you defeat eF-eM in this raid, more eF-eM will spawn around the arena for 30 minutes. The shiny rate for this eF-eM is then just as increased as it was for the “normal” Community Day period.

For whom is the Community Day with eF-eM worthwhile?

Can eF-eM be shiny? Yes, eF-eM can be shiny on Community Day and have an increased chance of encountering it. If you develop it, UHaFnir will also be shiny.

So if you, as a Shiny collector, are aiming for an addition to your collection, this Community Day is the right place for you.

The Shiny family of eF-eM and UHaFnir

Are eF-eM and UHaFnir strong? Unfortunately, the Community Day remains largely something for collectors, because neither eF-eM nor UHaFnir play a role as an attacker in Pokémon GO.

The two have no place in the list of the best raid attackers in Pokémon GO, and they are also negligible in PvP.

Who is Community Day for? Overall, the event is particularly worthwhile for collectors. eF-eM was very rare for a long time, especially the Shiny. In addition, the development of UHaFnir costs 400 candies.

Accordingly, even if the monster is not particularly strong, the event should still be interesting for some players who have not yet been able to secure eF-eM and especially UHaFnir.

In addition, it is also worth using the stardust bonus. After all, you need it to level up, and triple the amount per catch is worth it.

This is how you use the Community Day with eF-eM

The correct Mega Pokémon: There are already double candies for eF-eM. But if you have the right mega development active, you can dust off even more candies per catch.

eF-eM is a Flying and Dragon-type Pokémon. The following mega-Pokémon are therefore worth bonuses:

  • Mega Charizard X
  • Mega Charizard Y
  • Mega pigeon boss
  • Mega Aerodactyl
  • Mega Ampharos
  • Mega Squadro
  • Mega Altaria
  • Mega Brutalanda
  • Mega Latias
  • Mega Latios
  • So you have a wide range of Mega Evolutions to consider.

Prepare space: If you want a lot of candies, you have to catch a lot of eF-eM. You should make room in the box for that.

Use the filter function for this: For example, enter the search terms “0*, 1*, 2*” to display your monsters with 2 stars or less. These can be candidates to send.

    Which items are worthwhile?

  • pineapple berry: Worthwhile to get even more candies when catching
  • star piece: Gives you even more Stardust per catch, but it only lasts for half an hour. So use this time consistently to catch if you use one.
  • Smoke & Lure Module: Smoke gives extra spawns when moving, but Lure Modules when you stay at a PokéStop. Both last three hours in the event, just don’t ignite it too early.
  • balls: If you want to catch a lot, you also need a lot of Poké Balls. Ideally, you should have 200 to 300 balls in stock for the event so that you don’t need to replenish them. Hyperballs in particular can be worthwhile here in order to catch eF-eM quickly and efficiently.
  • Community Day is also the last day of Rocket takeover in Pokémon GO. Giovanni then has Crypto-Registeel on the team – but is it worth it? Here you can find all information about Crypto Registeel in Pokémon GO.
