Starting tomorrow, July 18, 2022, you can get the next weekly box in Pokémon GO. We at MeinMMO have looked at what content you can expect in it and how the community is reacting to it.
Which box is it? Every week you have the opportunity to buy a box for one PokéCoin in the Pokémon GO in-game shop. These have been in the game for quite a while and brought you a valuable remote raid pass weekly until the start of the Season of GO.
With the start of the new season, Niantic has banned this from the 1-coin box for the time being and is now making other changing items available to you there every week. So last week you could find a smoke and a magnetic lure module here.
The next box is already in the starting blocks and the first information about the content is now available. We’ll show you what item you can look forward to starting July 18th.
All the content of the weekly box starting July 18th
What awaits you in the box: As the Pokéminers, a group of dataminers, announced via their Twitter account on the evening of July 17th, the content of the next weekly box has now been stored in the Pokémon GO game code.
While there were already only 2 different items in the weekly box in the last two weeks, Niantic has reduced them again in the box for the coming week. Accordingly, the following item awaits you from July 18th:
This means that for the first time since the weekly box was changed, you will only find a single item in it. Whether Niantic will maintain this amount in the future or whether this will also change weekly is currently unknown and therefore remains to be seen for the time being. Nevertheless, this reduction is currently leading to severe criticism in the community.
When will the box be available? The weekly box will be available for you in the in-game shop from July 18, 2022 at 06:00 local time. There you have the chance to purchase them once for a PokéCoin.
How long do you have to redeem them? As you know from the past, the weekly box stays with you for a whole week. So you can redeem them until the release of the next weekly box on July 25th.
Where do you find the box? You can find the box in your Pokémon GO in-game shop. Here it is listed alongside the other boxes in the game, right at the top of the shop, under the name “Weekly Box”.
“I didn’t think we could sink any lower”
The changes in relation to the weekly box have been causing severe criticism from the trainers on social networks for weeks. And even the upcoming box can’t change the opinion of many players. This is mainly due to the fact that the number of items was reduced again.
Some are therefore disappointed and even demand that Niantic should abolish the box. Here’s what you can read in the comments on Twitter:
Positive reactions: But there are also one or two coaches who can find something positive about the new box. The reason for this is the rain decoy module, which you rarely get for free in the game.
