Pokémon GO brings new Shiny as Raid Day, but is the event worth it?

Pokémon GO has announced a raid day with Legios. We’ll show you the bonuses and an assessment.

When does the raid day with Legios run? It will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024. It runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What are the Raid Day bonuses? The following bonuses apply:

  • Legios raids on most arenas
  • Up to 5 free Raid Passes when rotating Arenas
  • The dazzling Legios is available for the first time
  • Increased chance of Shiny Legios
  • Remote raid limit at 20 instead of 5

    • Is there a ticket? Yes, it will cost 5 US dollars, according to the announcement. The Euro price is likely to be similar. The contents are:

  • 8 additional Raid Passes when spinning
  • Increased chance of XL special candies after raids
  • 50% more XP from raids
  • Double Stardust for Raids

    • The ticket bonuses are valid on September 8, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

    Is the raid day with Legios worth it?

    Is Legios strong? In short: Not currently. It doesn’t do much in the Battle League, nor is it one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO for raids. The monster from the Sword & Shield games therefore currently has no real place to be used in Pokémon GO when it comes to battles.

    Why should you raid? Due to Legios’ weakness, this raid day is more for collectors. However, the monster is coming into play for the first time in its shiny version and also brings with it an increased shiny chance. So if you want to fill your shiny dex, you have a good opportunity.

    Shiny Legions in Pokémon GO

    The shiny is quite conspicuous and is therefore one of the more interesting, dazzling monsters. There are far fewer exciting shiny candidates.

    Who benefits from the event? Overall, you can spend the 5 free raid passes, after all, raids also bring XP and stardust and the chance to get the shiny Legios. But you won’t get a strong fighter here.

    If you feel like doing a few raids and trying your luck at getting shiny, you can take part in the event, but don’t worry if you miss it.
