In Pokémon GO you can secure new field research again in January. We at MeinMMO will show you which tasks and rewards you can find and which monsters are the most worthwhile.
What are the tasks? In Pokémon GO you have the opportunity to secure so-called field research by rotating the PokéStops. These change monthly and adapt to the respective events.
The tasks revolve around different categories such as throwing, catching, fighting or interacting with your buddy, which is why there should be something for everyone. If you solve these, you will be rewarded with various Pokémon encounters or items. With a bit of luck you can also secure one or the other Shiny.
Field research January 2023 – All Shinys at a glance
What does the overview show? With the help of the data from LeekDuck, we show you in the following graphic all the monsters that you will find in January’s quests and tell you which ones you can get hold of in their dazzling forms with a bit of luck.
How do you get field research? You can find the quests by rotating the photo disc at the PokéStop. If you have created a corresponding task, you will find it in the “Field” view of your game, which you can access by clicking on the binoculars.
You now have unlimited time to solve them, but you can only keep a certain number of tasks at the same time. Currently, including an AR task, there are a maximum of four. If you want to collect more tasks, you must either redeem the previous ones or delete them.
What are Research Stamps? If you redeem a task, you can secure a so-called research stamp once a day. With this you can secure the research breakthrough after 7 redeemed quests, which gives you another Pokémon encounter. You can see your progress in the bar above the quests.
You can read here which monsters are in the research breakthrough in January.
Which monsters are most rewarding?
Strong Attackers: As in the last few months, you can again secure a number of strong Pokémon through the quests in January. Since the monsters from the research tasks usually have a higher IV, they are particularly suitable for use in raids.
Keep an eye out for Pokemon like Kaumalat, Trasla, Tanhel, Magikarp, and Dratini. Their advancements are among the best attackers in Pokémon GO. We show you more strong monsters in the following video:
Magikarp: The water-type Pokémon not only has a strong advancement, but also has its own medal called “Angler”. However, in order to reach platinum status, you must catch 1,000 large specimens. The research is easy to solve and could help you in your medal progression.
Pandir: The Little Pink Bear isn’t very strong, but can only be caught through Field Research at the moment. It also has a total of 9 different fur patterns. If the 7th form is still missing in your Pokédex, you should definitely take the chance. With a bit of luck, you might even get a dazzling one.
How do you like the tasks and rewards in January? And which monster do you definitely want to secure? Feel free to write it to us here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers.
