In Pokemon GO The Halloween event is currently underway with a focus on spawns full of ghost and scary monsters. But some trainers are currently missing two Pokémon.
Here’s what’s going on in Pokémon GO: The second part of the Halloween event has started and brought some new content. Among other things, costumed Vulpix, Gengar and Irrbis are now on the road, the latter recently also in the shiny version.
However, trainers in the Pokémon GO subreddit are just missing two monsters that they had actually expected for Halloween.
Kryppuk in the shop, broken Zorua – two monsters cause criticism
What’s the problem with Kryppuk? Kryppuk was partially available through special research at past Halloween events, and in October 2021 you could even encounter several specimens through field research.
It’s a popular monster with an interesting shiny that’s usually only available on Pokémon GO in October.
However, according to the current status, there is only one Kryypuk encounter in the current Halloween event – from the 6-euro research in the shop. Without this ticket you will not meet any Kryppuk, neither in the wild, nor in raids or research.
This caused criticism in the Pokémon GO subreddi during part 1 of the event. Also now in the second part no further Kryppuk appeared.
On the subreddit, a trainer notes that limited research with Kryppuk would have made the Halloween event better. Another comments that he was still hoping for a research day with Kryppuk – so far unsuccessful: “I still can’t believe they would give us a single (paid) encounter for the whole year” (via reddit).
In the comments of the post, however, another monster is mentioned in addition to Kryppuk – namely the missing Zorua.
Zorua was supposed to come as an exciting special event, but an error caused it to be immediately disabled. A majority of Pokémon GO players didn’t even get a chance to catch Zorua – and it’s still unclear when it will return.
On the other hand, there was praise for the adjustments to the Halloween map in Pokémon GO, with pumpkins, glow effects and even a benefit for color-blind players at PokéStops.
What do you think of the current Halloween event? Are you satisfied with the current spawns, or would you like other monsters? Tell us in the comments.
