Pokémon Crimson & Crimson start ultimate battle between Mew and Mewtwo – How to get the legendary monsters

With a beautifully animated CGI trailer, The Pokémon Company announces a new event called Receive Mew & Mewtwo! for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson. The event will make it possible to obtain Mew and Mewtwo in-game for the first time. Both are available in a very special version.

How do I get Mew? You can easily get Mew. All you have to do is enter the code GETY0URMEW as a password in the game’s Mystery Gift menu to get it.

The menu is activated around one to one and a half hours after the start of the game. You can now enter the code.

Mew will have the following characteristics:

  • level: 5
  • Attacks: ???, Star Shower, Light Shield, Life Drop

    • However, you shouldn’t wait too long, as the code is only valid for a limited time. You have until September 18, 2023 at 2:59 p.m. to redeem the code. The password can only be used once per save.

    Each Mew you can obtain through this code will have a different Tera type and nature. If you are not satisfied with your Mew, you should start trading.

    The Mew will then remain permanently on your team and you can use it for all sorts of content that is available in Pokémon Crimson & Crimson.

    Prepare for battle against Mewtwo with Mew

    How do I get Mewtwo? Unfortunately, you can’t get hold of Mewtwo, which has a titan mark, that easily. The Pokémon appears in a special 7-star Tera Raid. The period in which the Tera Raid takes place is the following:

  • Mewtwo: September 1, 2023 at 12:00 am to September 17, 2023 at 11:59 pm

    • In order to prepare yourself properly for the fight, you should participate in the previous Tera Raids. In these there are special items that help in the fight against Mewtwo. The raids take place at the following times:

  • Wave 1: August 9, 2023 at 00:00 to August 17, 2023 at 23:59
  • Pokemon appearing in 5-star Tera Raids: Scizor, Blizzard, Hydreigon
  • 2nd wave: August 18, 2023 at 00:00 to August 31, 2023 at 23:59
  • Pokemon appearing in 5-star Tera Raids: Blizzard, Silembrim, Olangaar

    • Useful items found in these raids include XP Candy, stat boost items, and Tera Pieces, which can be used to change a Pokémon’s Tera type.

    Mewtwo can also only be caught once per save. If you face off against the Gene Mutant Pokémon again, you’ll just get extra rewards.

    You also need an active Nintendo Switch Online membership to participate in Tera Raids. To activate the raids, you need to download the PokéPortal News from the main menu.
