With two goals, Joel Pohjanpalo raised the tail of the series to Venezia’s surprising 3-2 home win over Udinese in the Italian premier league on Wednesday.

Captain Joel Pohjanpalo led Venezia to a 3–2 home win over Serie A’s top team, Udinese.

Suomalaiskärki scored two goals in the match, both of which came from penalty kicks. Pohjanpalo hit in the 41st and 87th minutes.

At the same time, Pohjanpalo increased his number of goals for the season in the Italian premier league to four, with which he shares the sixth place in the goalscoring statistics together with e.g. of Naples Romelu Lukaku’s and Inter Lautaro Martinez’s with.

Udinese led the match 2–0 in the first half. With their win, Venezia moved up two places at the tail end of the series to third last.
