Bergman made his debut in 1965 in SVT’s “Hyland’s corner” and he has written a number of popular songs, including “If you ever get to Samarkand” which was recorded by a number of artists, including Lill Lindfors.
Bergman has also appeared as an interpreter of, among others, Dan Andersson and Nils Ferlin.
During his career, Thorstein Bergman has received several awards and scholarships and since 1999 he has been a member of the Swedish Visa Academy.
