Podd examines the murder of Catrine Da Costa

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

In 1984, parts of 27-year-old Catrine Da Costa’s body are found in plastic bags in Stockholm. Four years later, two men who came to be known as “The General Practitioner” and “The Autobiologist” are charged with the murder. They are acquitted in the District Court due to a lack of evidence, but are still considered to have dismembered the woman. They then tried to appeal the reasons for the verdict, which turned out to be not possible – it is also not possible to appeal an acquittal. They have both basically lived in obscurity ever since.

Journalists Martin Johnson and Anton Berg run the podcast Spår, which has now conducted an examination of the case in six episodes.

Among other things, the series contains an interview with the media-shy “General Practitioner”.

– We met him and interviewed him on three occasions, where he tells us from start to finish how he experienced the situation, says Martin Johnson.

In the clip above, you can hear Johnson answer Jenny Strömstedt’s question, whether we will ever find out who murdered Catrin Da Costa.
