Up until now, SSH rooms were not allowed to be smaller than 14 m2. But the housing corporation for students and young people can now tinker with that. “I honestly think that playing with 14 square meters to increase the number of living spaces for students is just very fair policy,” says Matthijs Sienot, former member of parliament and former councilor for D66. Heleen de Boer, former party leader for GroenLinks, also agrees with the new policy.
