PNRR, the European milestone on digital notifications has been exceeded

PNRR EU green light for changes to the Italian plan

(Finance) – There are 1,921 Municipalities which, thanks to the resources PNRRhave successfully completed the integration on SEND – Digital Notification Service. An important result that allowed us to reach and widely exceed the milestones European Union of the PNRR of December 2023, which provided for the integration of the notification systems of at least 800 entities to the new national technological platform. The Department for digital transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers thus continues on the path of digitizing notifications of administrative documents.

SENDcreated and managed by PagoPA SpA is a platform that simplifies the management of legal communications sent by the PA (local and central) to citizens and businesses: notifications regarding, for example, outcomes of administrative procedures, violations of the highway code, notices of assessment of taxes or refunds and much else.

“The European milestone of the PNRR on digital notifications has not only been achieved, but largely exceeded. With over 1,900 Municipalities now integrated on SEND, we have made significant progress in the digitalisation of notifications, facilitating rapid, economical and secure communications not only between PAs and citizens, but also between PA and businesses. By accessing SEND, a citizen can view and manage the outcome of an administrative procedure in a totally digital way with a clear saving of time and money. This platform demonstrates that simplifying relations with the PA is an objective that is not only possible but essential and strongly desired by this Government”, declared the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for technological innovation Alexei Butti.

“We are proud to have contributed to ensuring the achievement of this PNRR milestone relating to the SEND platform, which we made operational together with the Department for Digital Transformation at the beginning of last July. Having more than doubled, in less than six months, the number of administrations expected by the end of 2023 on board the new Digital Notification Service is a source of further satisfaction and encourages us to continue the strategy of constant operational connection with the institutions and technological partners that support local authorities. An essential collaboration to encourage the incremental adoption of SEND by all PAs between now and 2026 and offer more and more citizens the benefits of digital notification”, he commented Alexander MoriccaSole Director of PagoPA SpA
