PNRR, Mase approves the operating rules on innovative agrivoltaic systems

Pichetto G7 first technical agreement on stopping coal

(Finance) – Il Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security published the operational rules on the measurement of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan aimed at supporting the creation of advanced agrivoltaic systems capable of combining the production of photovoltaic renewable energy with agricultural production. The rules, drawn up by the Energy Services Manager, – Mase said in a note – establish the implementation methods for accessing the incentives made available by the PNRR, for over one billion euros, for the construction of agrivoltaic systems equipped with measuring instruments to monitor the underlying agricultural activity.

The final objective is theinstallation of photovoltaic panels in agrivoltaic systems for a total capacity of approximately 1 GW and an indicative production of at least 1,300 GWh/year, by June 2026.

The access request – highlights the Mase – “guarantees a double benefit: a capital contribution, up to a maximum of 40% of the eligible costs, and an incentive tariff recognized for renewable electricity fed into the grid”.

“Our action continues – explains the minister Gilberto Pichetto – towards a sector that can make a significant contribution to the energy transition, protecting and, indeed, strengthening quality agricultural production”.
