(Finance) – For potential revisions of their National Recovery and Resilience Plans European countries will have until April 30th. The announcement came from the Commissioner for the Economy, Paul Gentiloniand the Vice-President of the Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis. To date “I am happy to report that we have not found any significant discrepancies – Gentiloni said during a hearing in the European Parliament – during the checks on key milestones and objectives” of the plans of the various countries, of which 16 audit reports are currently available independent.
For the revisions of the PNRR Gentiloni launched two recommendations. “First – he explained – we strongly encourage the member countries to present the various quickly changes in a single amendment, rather than piecemeal. In this way we reduce procedural times”. “Second, we need to be aware of the time remaining for the PNRRs: three and a half years, we need to make a strong collective commitment to move forward smoothly, and avoid postponements”, concluded the Eurocommissioner .
