Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino have been appointed as the new CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Hulst will lead the studio business, while Nishino will manage the platform business group.
Hermen Hulst And Hideaki NishinoThey will replace Jim Ryan as the new CEOs of Sony Interactive Entertainment. As president of PlayStation Studios, Hulst became CEO of the new Studio Business Group. Hulst was the co-founder of Guerrilla Games, developer of the Horizon and Killzone games, and said he was excited to lead the studio’s business group. Hulst said he plans to continue building on the success achieved with PlayStation 5.
Hideaki Nishino’s New Missions and Statements
As leader of the Platform Business Group, Hideaki Nishino will oversee console hardware, technology, accessories, PlayStation Network and third-party relationships. Nishino stated that they will continue to connect gamers and content creators through world-class products and services. Both leaders will report to Sony Interactive Entertainment chairman Hiroki Totoki, who has been acting CEO of the division since Jim Ryan stepped down at the end of March.
Totoki emphasized that Sony Interactive Entertainment is a dynamic and growing company through its content and technology connection.
