Relaunched last year after the forced break due to the COVID crisis, Paris Games Week wants to regain the excitement and momentum of previous years. To do this, a major program has been put in place for the 5 days of festivities that await visitors. Entitled “Next Level”, this 2023 edition will have the support of the three manufacturers (PlayStation, Nintendo and Xbox), but also of numerous publishers (Bandai Namco, PLAION, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Capcom, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.) who signed up for a stand. Of course, each of them will come with their latest games, whether they have already been released or not, knowing that it will be possible to have access to slightly new demos, if you have fun doing the queue for the behind closed doors. Here is the complete line-up of each publisher.
– On the Bandai Namco stand: games from cult anime and manga will be
highlighted with NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM
CONNECTIONS, with for the first time, the official French voices of
the anime SAND LAND the adaptation of the work of Akira Toriyama and Jujutsu
Kaisen Cursed Clash. Players will be able to challenge each other with friends on TEKKEN
8, the new opus of the iconic saga.
– On the Ubisoft stand: the famous Assassin’s Creed franchise makes its big splash
return to PGW with the presence of its latest title, Assassin’s Creed
Mirage. Exclusively in France, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown will be playable
ahead of its release, scheduled for January 18, 2024. Games enthusiasts
race will be able to indulge in wild sessions of The Crew
Motorfest. Finally, on the central stage of Ubisoft, the public will ignite the
dance floor thanks to Just Dance 2024 Edition!
– On the PLAION stand: players of all ages will be there
welcome, with games for all tastes. On the program, the very
expected Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a
SEGA’s Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be playable for the first time by
the French public. Budding singers or aspiring rockstars will be able to
compete on the brand new Let’s Sing 2024, which is released at the end of the year.
The titles Persona 5 Tactica, Persona 3 Reload,
Sonic Superstars, Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 –
Turbocharged.
– On the Warner Bros. stand. Entertainment: the reboot that reinvents the saga
cult fighting game, Mortal Kombat 1, will be playable. The opportunity also
for visitors to compete during the French championship
from Mortal Kombat 1.
– On the PlayStation space: find Square Enix with it for the first time
playable in Europe, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, the new very
expected from the critically acclaimed FINAL FANTASY VII remake.
– On the Xbox area: come and test Forza Motorsport, The Elder Scrolls Online
(Bethesda) and Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as many other games
& animations which will be revealed soon.
– On the Arc System Works stand: Guilty Gear Strive, Under Night will be playable
In-Birth2, River City: Rival Showdown, Double Dragon Collection
A celebration of “French-style” video games, the Made in France Games Area will make its return with a dedicated area of 600 m². No less than 23 studios and publishers, including Amplitude Studios, DON’T NOD, Focus Entertainment and Microids, will present more than 30 emblematic games of French creation. Among other things, players will be able to test Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (Focus Entertainment x DON’T NOD), expected on February 13, 2024, Jusant (DON’T NOD) available on October 31, 2023, Flashback 2 (Microids) available November 16, 2023, Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior (Sand Door Studio), or Under The Waves (Parallel Studio).
The PC universe will be represented by major players including AORUS, the gaming brand of GIGABYTE, a leading company in the field of PC gaming components and hardware, and ASUS ROG (Republic Of Gamers). Accessories manufacturer JBL will also participate with its gaming headset brand JBL Quantum.
We can also count on esports events, present on the big stage of the PGW, in particular the finals of major esports competitions:
• During the preview, Tuesday October 31: The Star Cup (Riot
Games / Webedia), first official women’s competition of League of
Legends in France.
• Wednesday, November 1: La Banque Postale Coupe de France (Riot
Games / Webedia), competition which brings together the entire League community
of French Legends.
• Sunday, November 5: The Capcom Pro Tour on Street Fighter 6
(Capcom / Webedia) with the 8 best players of this global tournament.
In addition to these competitions to be experienced live from the show, EVA (Esports Virtual
Arenas) returns with its new nomadic arena of more than 500m2 in which players are immersed both physically and virtually. On this occasion, the final of the Coupe de France EVA 2023 will take place at Paris Games Week on Saturday November 4.
Families will be able to discover video games together and share moments
user-friendly video games in the PGW Junior area. Different games for all ages will be playable, such as Jumanji: Wild Adventures and the game PAW Patrol World – Pat’Patrouille (Bandai Namco)
For cosplay enthusiasts, Imagin’Con will bring together national, European and international talents on its stand and in the aisles of the show. To close this 2023 edition, the final of the PGW Cosplay Championship, the
French cosplay competition, will take place on November 5 on the big PGW stage.
The MO5 association, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will once again be present with its retrogaming space to transport you through more than 50 years of video game history. This celebration of retrogaming will be marked for the first time by a PGW auction which will offer on Sunday November 5, several lots including old consoles and collector games.
Finally, know that this year the PGW will also be experienced on Twitch! Throughout the duration of the show, passionate creators will punctuate your days, with for the first time, the presence of a guest of honor, Kameto who will present his exclusive content! Paris Games Week NEXT LEVEL will be held from Wednesday November 1 to Sunday November 5, 2023 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
