Playstation State of Play: watch the conference live

Playstation State of Play watch the conference live

Sony kicks off hostilities this Thursday with a new State of Play. The conference is part of the Summer Game Fest and could well bring us great information on the next video game releases.

[Mis à jour le 2 juin 2022 à 22h00] The big day has arrived ! The Summer Game Fest starts this Thursday with a first conference. And not just any since it is a new State of Play from Sony, highlighting the future of virtual reality in the world of the Playstation 5. Although the announcements seem reserved for partners and Sony’s third-party studios, we could well find great announcements this evening on highly anticipated titles, and exclusives for the PS5. If you want to watch the show, we suggest you do it here and live:

You can watch the State of Play just below:

What games can we expect from this State of Play?

This Sony State of Play will be entirely dedicated to the publisher’s third-party partners and its new virtual reality headset, the PS VR 2. Announced just under six months ago, the PS VR 2 marks the entry of virtual reality in the next-gen, or rather the current-gen as it is now called. Supposed to support the PS5 and offer high-quality VR games, the PS VR 2 will also be able to accommodate new titles and the return of major franchises to virtual reality support. We can think in particular of Horizon: Call of the Mountain which will make a sure appearance this evening.

Hogwarts Legacy and God of War in the spotlight?

As for other games, nothing is less certain. Sony defined the evening as “showcasing partners and the future of virtual reality. It is therefore difficult to hope to see images of God of War Ragnarök or Hogwarts Legacy. The two flagship titles of the Playstation 5 are likely to good to wait a little longer before revealing some images to us, during the Summer Game Fest or during an upcoming State of Play. But it is always possible to hope, since we know that we will find another great Exclusively licensed to Sony tonight, Horizon, with its Call of the Mountain episode, again scheduled for VR.
