Handerson, who ascribed the new game handle to Sony’s very busy announcement agenda, also mentioned the features of the handle that can be observed from the images. The prototype was known as “Hunt” in Turkish, with the code name “hunt” or “hunting” in Sony. In general, it is stated that the design of the PlayStation Pro Joystick looks the same as the current DualSense, that is, the PlayStation 5 joystick.
Handerson stated that the biggest difference in the prototype is in the round knobs and these can be removed if desired. The remote, which also includes “Trigger Stops” and “Flappy Paddles” that can be positioned under the arm, seems to provide many functions and customization possibilities.
Sony has not released a pro handle for PlayStation game consoles like Nintendo and Xbox until now. Only different color options were introduced for DualSense. In particular, Microsoft has been offering official diversity in controller customizations with various controller options for years. The PlayStation Pro Joystick also seems to have very similar features with the Xbox Elite Controller, in terms of Handerson’s statements.
It is not yet known whether the Pro joystick will be compatible with PC as with the regular DualSense, when exactly it will be released or what price tag it will have.
