Foamstars, which will be available for PS Plus Essential members on February 6, stands out as Square Enix’s newest shooter game. This game will be free for PS4 and PS5 users until March 4.
Foam Wars at Bath Vegas
Foamstars is a game in which two teams of four compete by throwing foam against the backdrop of Bath Vegas, which resembles a theme park. Players can use the foam to surf, trap enemies and protect allies. Additionally, anime-style characters and the dynamic structure of the game offer players an entertaining experience.
Foamstars is similar to Nintendo’s Splatoon, with modes to control structures and fight waves of enemies. Square Enix stated that it will offer free seasonal updates and both free and premium content for Foamstars.
Premium and Free Contents
Extra characters, game modes and maps, which will become available to all players over time, will be offered to premium members with early access and cosmetic extras. The success of the game will depend on Square Enix’s quality content production.
