A new side quest that was introduced with the release of Dawntrail in Final Fantasy XIV is causing discussion among players. Players are now warning against doing this quest too early as it could unintentionally contain spoilers.
What quest is it? This is the side quest Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler. The side quest was integrated into the game with the release of Dawntrail. You receive it at around level 95 in the capital city of Tuliyollal.

The quest may unintentionally spoil your experience
Why do players warn about the quest? After players heavily criticized the second color slot, Final Fantasy XIV is facing new criticism. Players are now warning against the quest Once a Riddler, Now a Ruler because it could spoil things for you against your will.
In the quest, as the quest name suggests, you have to find places using puzzles. The quest has a plot twist that will spoil the story for you if you haven’t finished the main quest in the area.
Without going into the spoiler in detail, the quest tells you who will become the Dawnservant before the ceremony has even taken place.
How did players react to the spoiler? In a post on Reddit, the user “st_wolfgang” initially warned about the quest. Other users initially did not want to believe this, such as the user “Froman951”. E
Some users hope that the “problem” will be fixed, as user “MajorPom” notes on Reddit, to prevent even more players from being spoiled.
User “Adzx93” says on Reddit that this is exactly the reason why he always completes the main story first. However, other users don’t understand this point, as such spoilers either don’t appear at all or don’t have much to do with the main quest.
