Players constantly complain about Diablo 4 – Blizzard praises feedback, but some things will only get better in months

Diablo 4 players regularly express their wishes or criticize content. A new season is coming, but developers Blizzard announce that it could be a while before player feedback is actually implemented in Diablo.

Since the release of Diablo 4, feedback has been coming in regularly from players, both positive and negative. In Season 1, the development team engaged with the community in a Campfire chat after receiving fairly negative feedback.

The developers also responded to feedback and adjusted endgame content in Season 2, which was simply too difficult for many. In almost every Campfire livestream, the developers say that they welcome feedback. And in an interview with MeinMMO they noted: The community is the most important asset.

In an interview with GamesRadar+, the developers explain that Season 3 is imminent in Diablo 4 and that no further content from Season 2 can be integrated. Nevertheless, they emphasize that feedback from the community should be taken into account in future content.

The feedback should lead to “exciting things” in Diablo 4

What do the developers say about the feedback? According to GamesRadar+, the developers of Diablo 4 have incorporated some of the feedback expressed during Season 2 into Season 3. However, they emphasize that it’s not possible to include all of it, especially since the new season is already “out the door.”

Nevertheless, the developers plan to take the feedback from Season 2 into account for future developments.

We actually made a number of changes in Season 3 based on things we saw in Season 2, but there are limits. At a certain point it’s like, ‘We have to incorporate this into Season 4. Or, if it’s really big, maybe even in Season 5.

– Timothy Ismay, senior game producer, GamesRadar+

The developers have already made extensive adjustments based on feedback from Season 2. A concrete example is the significant shortening of the time window between the hellish floods in Diablo 4. Another feature that will be introduced in Season 3 is WASD control for PC players.

What should improve over months? “And even though you won’t see it this season, that doesn’t mean we’re not working on it,” Ismay tells GamesRadar+. The team is still looking at the feedback they received in Season 2.

“There are some exciting things coming up in Season 4 that are influenced by what players said in Season 2,” notes Ismay.
