What is planned? Polish gaming group baldurawka have come up with something very special to ring in the new year in the game of the year, Baldur’s Gate 3 – they plan to launch the popular character Gale all at the same time tonight when the clock strikes twelve to hunt.
On X, a player named outstarwalker stumbled upon this spectacular idea and shared it on Facebook. The group, which describes itself as a meme shitposting community on Facebook centered around the Baldur’s Gate series and D&D in general, seems to have hatched the perfect plan to celebrate 2023 with a bang – literally Meaning of the word – to finish.

But who is Gale? For those wondering who the hell he is, he is an origin character in the highly acclaimed turn-based RPG Baldur’s Gate 3. There are a number of companions that can join your party – one of which is Gale.
Larian Studios has released statistics that show Gale is the most popular origin character, but he’s also often the reason you die.

Gale is a human magician and a true child prodigy. Gale’s goal is to become the greatest magician of all time, and on his way there he shines with his extensive knowledge and his charming, sensitive nature.
How are they going to blow up Gale? To understand the explosive idea, you have to delve a little into Gale’s backstory. He has an insatiable thirst for magic, and within his chest lies a ball of destruction that could explode at any time. To prevent this, he must constantly eat magical items.
But over the course of his quest series there is an opportunity to fix this problem. After meeting the powerful Elminster, he no longer needs magical food, instead the player is given a button on the hotbar to make Gale explode himself at any time.
The explosive implementation
The creative minds at baldurawka have decided not to use this power in battle, but rather to use it as the ultimate New Year’s Eve fireworks display. But how is that supposed to happen?

Unfortunately, the Facebook group is set to private, so it remains unclear whether they are blowing up Gale at any location or specifically at certain sequences. But honestly, that’s probably the least important question in a venture as epic as a magical New Year’s Eve fireworks display.
