Player wins match by breaking the rules

A player won a match in League of Legends by breaking the rules of Riot Games’ Code of Conduct: playing the game in Pacifist mode.

Which rule did the player break? The League of Legends website has a code of conduct that states that it is a competitive game in which everyone must play to win.

One player knowingly violated this rule by playing the game in pacifist mode and dealing 0 damage to opponents. Despite this, he and his teammates won the ranked match.

0 damage in the entire game

What kind of match was that? In a post on Reddit, user Rumaru reports on his ranked match in which another player decided to play as a pacifist. In concrete terms, this means that the player caused 0 damage in the game.

The surprising thing about this story is that the team still won the game in a platinum lobby.

How did the player go about it? One could assume that the Tryndamere player did not contribute anything to the game. However, this seems unlikely considering that the team won the match.

The user Rumaru also describes in his story that the player was not idle. He only caused damage to the towers the entire time. A picture on Reddit shows that the player did over 14,000 damage to the towers. For comparison: other players only did around 2,000-4,500 damage to towers in this match.

How is that possible? In his story, the player appears to be quite impressed with his teammate. He describes that the Tryndamere player only tanked his own tower and dealt damage to the opposing tower when no opponent was in sight. He further describes that the player ran away as soon as he saw another player.

Not only the user is impressed by this action, but also other players.

How does the community react to the match? The Reddit community is also impressed by the player. Many are surprised that the player managed not to accidentally cause damage to any of the opponents.

Some users write:

  • Salm9n writes on Reddit: The most impressive thing is that he never accidentally hits an opponent with E throughout the entire game.
  • IonDust notes on Reddit: 0 damage Tryndamare, the myth, the legend
  • In League of Legends, there are not only rules for the players, but also for the employees of Riot itself. This year, a new rule caused a stir among the players.
