A gamer talks about a physical impairment that is getting progressively worse and that means he can no longer play games. Desperate, he tries out Diablo 4 and realizes that the game is great to play, even with disabilities. The community provides further tips.
This is what happened to the player:
This is how Diablo 4 “saved” him: The fact that he could no longer play games properly made CuddlestheViking almost lose all hope. Then he decided to at least try out Diablo 4.
Here he built a Minion Necromancer, a build that basically plays itself. The build doesn’t require many keys or buttons and CuddlestheViking was able to quickly accumulate some Paragon levels without any major problems.
He says: his build may be “cheesy” and many will probably laugh about it, but for him it was his salvation. Despite his impairment, he enjoyed gaming again: “Cheers to Diablo 4 for helping me through this.”
“Don’t apologize for having fun.”
In the comments, many users immediately support him and say: a minion build is nothing to be ashamed of. Even gamers without disabilities would play it. The most important thing is to have fun – no matter what everyone else says.
Some are even enthusiastic about how much Diablo 4 is designed for disabled players. The game is made so that everyone can enjoy it. CuddlestheViking is not the first player to be helped by Diablo 4.
Another player has already reported that Diablo 4 distracts him from his cancer. The story even touched the game’s community manager so much that he gave the user a key for the full version of Diablo 4.
For another player, Diablo 4 helped him “stay sober” after an alcoholic illness. Slaughtering demons was just the thing to focus his thoughts on something else.
In the current thread on Reddit there are also a number of other recommendations for games that players with disabilities should try out. Right at the forefront: Baldur’s Gate 3. The fact that the best role-playing game of the best years ever exists was more or less luck: Baldur’s Gate 3 almost didn’t exist because Larian did one thing really badly
