A Reddit user reports on his experience with the customer support of a cooler manufacturer because he wanted to use his tried and tested cooler on his new processor. For this he asked for the right assembly kit. The manufacturer reacted promptly and surprised the user with his reaction.
On Reddit, the user 1corn told about his experience with the customer support of Noctua. Noctua is an Austrian manufacturer for PC components that specializes in cooling. The brown-beige color of your fan is characteristic. The user reported that he wanted to install his 12 -year -old fan with his new hardware. But the user’s old cooler was not compatible with the new processor base.
The user had this problem: So far, the cooler was attached to an Intel Core i7-4790K. Now the cooler should be installed on an AMD Ryzen 5 7600x3D, the base of which has other fastening points and assembly brackets. Therefore, the previous assembly kit did not fit, so that a special assembly kit was required to adapt the old cooler to the new AMD base.
How did the support react? In order to be able to assemble the fan on his new processor base, he contacted Noctua customer support and asked for the right assembly kit. He already received a shipment success in less than three hours. To his surprise, the kit was not only sent to him immediately, but also free of charge. Now the user is looking forward to finally assembling everything at the weekend.

The fact that a manufacturer delivers a free component is a rarity today. Positive experiences like this remain in the memory and can ensure that customers remain true to a manufacturer in the long term. In a highly competitive market like the PC hardware, good service can be a decisive factor. No wonder that numerous users praise the manufacturer for their service in the Reddit comments.
These are the experience of other users: The Reddit user probotzor commented that he was running a small YouTube channel and has already received free coolers for testing from Noctua. Another user told about a curious experience: he had ordered three noctua fans, with a specified delivery time of more than two weeks. But after a week he received the delivery – together with a note from Noctua, in which she apologized for the long waiting period. His comment: “People, you are on the turn a whole week-I hadn’t even got my other PC parts!”
Such cases shows how important long-term customer satisfaction is in the hardware industry. Especially since the market is always developing. The Ryzen 7 9800x3D is currently set new standards in gaming performance, while Intel has to deal with problems with its new Arrow lake processors. An AMD manager explained that one was surprised by the processors’ demand.
