Player oneshots the toughest boss in Diablo 4, waiting longer for cutscenes than he fights

In Diablo 4, a player faced the toughest boss in the game and killed him twice in a row with one attack. Overall, it didn’t even take 2 minutes – but only because the boss was a long time coming.

Player Struth Gaming took on the toughest boss with his Necromancer. The fact that the boss has two phases basically only caused the player to wait longer because his attack was enough to kill the boss in both phases.

Another player first noticed at a later date that his build was so powerful that it could deal up to 1.8 billion damage.

Whether the build will still be as strong in Season 1 remains to be seen. Here you can see a trailer for the first season in Diablo 4:

More waiting time than fighting time

How did he do it? In a YouTube video, Struth Gaming shows how he defeats the boss in both phases with his Necromancer. To do this, he uses the Bone Prison ability. He uses the Bone Prison, adds Corpse Vines, and waits.

Bone Prison completely encases the opponent in bone, preventing them from moving out of the area of effect. The corpse tendrils stun the boss while leaving him vulnerable.

Other players have a bit more work to do in the boss fight and even switch gear during the fight.

Additionally, Struth Gaming uses “Blood Orbs”, orbs of blood that surround the player and heal them when picked up. Also, due to his chest armor ability, picking up Blood Orbs spawns Bone Spirits that deal extra damage and finish off the boss.

The chest armor is the unique item Blood Artisan’s Cuirass. Here you can see an overview of all unique items in Diablo 4.

Why did he have to wait longer than fight? The boss got a lot of damage at the beginning of the second phase and was actually already down. However, the usual attacks that the boss brings with it were then run through.

The boss flies around, demolishing platform by platform and cornering the player with ground attacks. That hardly impresses Struth Gaming, however. He dodges almost perfectly, taking little damage to the end and spinning like a top while waiting for the end of Stage 2 to deal the killing blow to the boss.

What can the class do? The necromancer can bring the dead back to life and make them fight for him. He can wield blood and bone magic, allowing him to rip flesh from enemies or summon spikes from the ground. If that’s not enough, he can even explode corpses.
