One of the rarest items in Diablo 4 has now been found for the first time. A level 100 Chinese player found the sword “The Grandfather”. Another user at level 76 shared the screenshot of the find, but the community isn’t happy for the lucky guy.
What is the problem? The uniques drop with random values within a given range. For example, “The Grandfather” can deal more damage in a range from 42.0 to 84.0 percent. The value of the dropped sword is only determined with the drop.

These values are particularly annoying because the chance of one of the rarest uniques is already so rare. User staebles says in the corresponding reddit post that only five drops are known so far:
Accordingly, the player now has to hope that at some point he will get the same item again, but with higher values.

Where did the player get the item from? “The Grandfather comes from an event chest from the Infernal Tide. This is a special event that takes place at specified times. We need to collect Abnormal Embers to open the chests called Tormented Gift. “The Grandfather” can be found in these.
The Infernal Tide can only be unlocked from the Nightmare difficulty level, i.e. the third world level of Diablo 4. In this region-related event, we can get items with high item power, which even “Holy” or “bequeathed”.
The existence of the uniques was doubted
Since the rare uniques have been hard to find so far, many players have doubted that the legendary items even exist. The majority has never been able to find one of the said items in the game.
Blizzard first had to make the players believe that the six rarest uniques in Diablo 4 really exist. A staff member posted the requirements for the legendary items to drop. There are a total of six rare uniques that bring particularly strong stats.
A requirement is that the character must be at least level 85. Unfortunately, the screenshot does not show at which level the Chinese player got his “The Grandfather”.
