A weekend for a simple realization

How did the player spend his weekend? As kylenbd writes on Reddit, he spent his weekend trying out all the methods in Destiny 2 that give out Strange Coins.

  • On his list were PvP activities like Gambit and Crucible, which never consistently give the same number of coins because you don’t win every round.
  • The new Onslaught activity wasn’t bad. For 10 waves, the team received 4 coins plus an additional one for the Fall of the Nine effect. However, the activity was sometimes quite lame because some enemies spawned far away or stayed behind.
  • Vanguard Nightfalls give coins, but only on higher difficulty levels do they give more than Vanguard Strikes. So you get as many coins for the normal Strikes as you do for a normal Nightfall.
  • After reviewing the facts, it quickly became clear to him what needed to be done.

What is the best way to get Strange Coins? The best way to get Xur’s new currency is to play Vanguard Strikes, specifically a specific strike in the Cosmodrome called “Devil’s Den.” Experienced players like kylenbd can complete the strike in under 7 minutes, earning 6 coins per run if they have overlapping Favors of the Nine active.

If you want to be really efficient, the Reddit user recommends grinding catalysts at the same time, as this would be a good idea because “The only two stopping points of the strike are defeating fighters.

The first is a room with 3 waves to defeat while defending a ghost (this room is exceptionally easy), and the second is the square with the walker at the end. In the second encounter, you just need to defeat the 2 brigs and the walker to get to the boss.”

With this method, kylenbd and his team manage about one coin per minute. Even if you don’t want to farm coins all day, a few “Devil’s Den” strikes can certainly be worthwhile for you to fill up your account a bit. The God of Destiny 2 conquers an extra hard challenge for 12 players alone – and that after just 24 hours
