Elden Ring is an RPG monster that wants to eat your character and your time – often the game is even successful with it. A player on the reddit discussion platform has now attracted attention because she pumped 56 hours into a collection success and was apparently even lucky.
What was that success? Reddit user “KyraThressen” collected all 308 weapons in Elden Ring. She states in a thread on reddit that it took her around 56 hours to do it.
Elden Ring is huge, the open world is packed with puzzles, nasty monsters and there are always some NPCs who want to get punched in the nose. Nevertheless, she fought her way through and was able to bag the success.
You can find out how she did it and which weapon was the most annoying to grind here. If you would like to get to know another community story, you can also start our video:
How did she do that? The answer to that is as simple as it is exhausting. Ultimately you need 3 things:
In the reddit thread, KyraThressen explains that there is no shortcut to this achievement. It’s sheer willpower. But you should inform yourself beforehand and make notes about where and when you want to get which weapons. There are also “missable” weapons that would only be available again in NewGame+.
Also, an arcane-focused build is helpful. This slightly improves the chance of weapons dropping from certain enemies. KyraThressen’s build shows 95 arcane in the Reddit thread:
Which weapon was the most annoying? Right at the front is “Envoy’s Greathorn”. The gigantic weapon drops from certain enemies that are difficult to defeat. In addition, the drop rate is underground.
The Cleanrot Spear follows pretty closely. It is not that difficult to farm, but it was very boring to farm the part.
KyraThressen wasn’t the first to secure all of the weapons in the Elden Ring. More equipment grinders have their say in the thread. User “xxvkaxx” even calls KyraThressen a lucky guy – it would have taken him over 150 hours. Maleficent_Ground372 even claims to have collected all the armor as well.
However, when asked whether the whole campaign is worth it, there is a clear answer: no. While it’s “incredibly satisfying to get it done,” KyraThressen says, it’s not worth the time.
You should set goals, maybe farm the best weapons in Elden Ring. But not all, she couldn’t recommend that to anyone.
