World of Warcraft is known for being one of the longest-lived and most successful MMORPGs out there. However, it is also known that the MMORPG seems quite old-fashioned with advancing age, despite occasional fresh cell cures. The latest example that a player had discovered leaves no doubt about it.
What did the player discover? Twitter user @KENOASTRAL turns out to be a WoW player active on the social media platform. A very specific tweet caused a stir. It was about graphic delicacies in the MMORPG.
You can sometimes see baby orcs and tauren, which, to put it mildly, seem to be made up of very few polygons. The faces appear as if they were slapped on, as if the label had shifted slightly. It is truly not for the faint of heart.
How do other users react to it? Twitter user @EiyaWoW puts it succinctly what he thinks: THIS IS DISTURBING. User @itsJuanSolos even advocates renaming “Children’s Week to Bread Week” as the little rascals are coated in a texture similar to bread.
Twitter user @Schrei205 further amused himself by stating that it’s no wonder why Sylvanas ate babies.
Analysts expect a revision of Azeroth
It remains to be seen whether the graphics will change afterwards, as was the case with the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. So far, Blizzard has not announced whether WoW will get a completely revised graphic. But analysts are now assuming that revision.
how do you see it? Do the babies seem like stale bread to you? Does the MMORPG really need a makeover or would that lose the charm of the current graphic style? Feel free to write your opinion in our comments.
