There is one boss fight in Diablo 4 that many players consider to be the hardest of all. One has now proved that nothing is impossible and defeats the boss with his unusual strategy – changing equipment during the fight.
What is this boss fight? This is the boss fight against Lilith. However, this is not the Lilith from the campaign, but its echo. Her second World Tier 4 effigy that only the most die-hard players among you can defeat.
While many players avoid the boss without a suitable build, Reddit user Moist_Reply_4955 took on the fight with his sorceress and ended it with an unusual strategy.

Equipment deals massive damage, but only after switching
How did the fight go? Moist_Reply_4955 has entered the arena of Lilith with his level 100 Sorceress and infamous Blizzard build. First, numerous blizzards are generated around Lilith’s spawn point. So Sanctuary’s mother is engulfed in a hail of freezing bullets, but the damage done is lacking until Lilith is stunned.
Here we have included the full clip of the boss fight for you:
At this point, Moist_Reply_4955 opens his inventory and quickly switches to another staff. This now deals millions of dollars in damage while Lilith tries to get up. The damage is so massive that Lilith fails to get up and is forced to proceed to the second boss phase.
The second boss phase is always associated with stunning Lilith, switching weapons and then dishing out massive damage. What looks easy on the video is actually a very risky thing, because switching to other items takes time – and this time can mean the difference between life and death.
Many on Reddit are excited about the strategy that Moist_Reply_4955 has come up with, because you already know it would be almost impossible on console.
What do the players say about this brilliant performance? Some players find it crass how Moist managed the fight with such a strategy. But there are also players who think this is an impossible thing, especially on consoles:
But there are also players who see item swapping as problematic. This tactic is seen as unfair as it gives you an advantage over other platforms by being nimble with items and aspects.
What do you think of the tactic? Do you like her and have you already defeated the Echo of Lilith? Or don’t you dare approach it yet? Let’s find out in the comments!
