Higher, faster, further – this also applies to Pokémon GO. A player recently earned more than 500,000 XP in an hour – without a friendship level.
9439 XP – per minute? This is the insane average achieved by a Pokémon GO player over 60 minutes, collecting an impressive amount of 566,340 XP in one hour.
how did he do that? A Spotlight Hour takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. In this there is a Pokémon that appears particularly frequently and an additional bonus that is activated.
This can be, for example, double stardust for catching Pokémon or double candies for sending Pokémon – or even double XP for developing Pokémon. Like in this case.
Spotlight hour + lucky eggs + preparation = gigantic experience points
Reddit user Jimby_E took advantage of this bonus spotlight hour to take a big step towards level 46. As he reports on Reddit, he has already caught all Pokémon that can be developed with a small amount of candies in advance using only Sanana Berries.
He cites monsters like Nebulak, Taubsi and Waumpel as examples of this. He tagged all of these Pokémon and saved them for this spotlight hour. He also tagged and saved Pokémon for which he had collected enough candies and which he had not yet evolved in order to use the bonus for developing Pokémon for the first time.
He then activated a lucky egg at the beginning of the spotlight hour and after 30 minutes in order to combine the experience bonus from the lucky eggs with that of the spotlight hour. With this double bonus, he developed all of the tagged Pokémon, which earned him the impressive amount of 566,340 XP within 60 minutes.
According to his own statements, he now has 12,273,402 XP from the for Level 46 required 15,500,000 XP. So he will still need one or two spotlight hours to ultimately reach level 46.
