A 17-year-old accidentally called the police while playing Rainbow Six: Siege, triggering an operation.
How did the player trigger a police operation? Elijah Sierocki is a 17-year-old gamer from Kentucky, USA who occasionally plays Ubisoft’s popular tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege. So also on January 05, 2022.
In Rainbow Six: Siege, 10 players compete in tactical 5v5 matches, trying to capture or defend a spot. Alternatively, the team that eliminates all 5 opponents first wins.
So on January 5th, Elijah was sitting on his couch playing Rainbow Six: Siege. But while he was playing the shooter with his friends, he had his phone in his pocket – and that’s how the drama began.
As Elijah reveals to the site lawandcrime.com in an interview, he accidentally called the police. However, the 17-year-old only found that out afterwards when he looked at his cell phone to watch TikTok videos after his in-game death.

Instead of funny clips, he looked in his call log and saw three missed calls and a four-minute call to the police. Little did Elijah know that he accidentally called 911 and the police listened to him for four minutes.
The problem was clear: during those 4 minutes, the 17-year-old said he killed two people. Although he spoke of the kills he achieved in the shooter, the police were already on the alert at the time. After all, he didn’t respond to the call back.
Then, about two minutes later, the Rainbow Six player heard his dogs barking, after which he looked out the window and saw four squad cars.
I was sitting on my couch playing Rainbow Six Siege with my two best friends, Tyler and Devan. In the middle of a game I killed two people, I had two kills, and after that I died. So I went to my phone to watch TikTok – which is what I usually do when I’m dying – and I see a call on my phone. It’s 911

Controversial Twitch streamer was scared to death because his viewers terrorized him with the police on a daily basis
What happened after the police arrived? When Elijah saw the policemen on the street in front of his house, he made the decision to step out the door with his hands up. He then explained to them that he was home alone and had only played a video game. The call was a mistake and no one was hurt.
The conversation between Elijah and the police officers was also filmed by a camera attached to the Sierocki family’s front door.
Here’s a tweet sharing the camera footage:
How did the situation turn out? The situation turned out well for everyone involved and Elijah tells lawandcrime.com that he can understand what the police are doing. After all, he actually said on the phone that he had killed two people. Nevertheless, he was visibly frightened and shaking because guns were pointed at him.
But after the police officers realized that it was an accident and that nobody was injured, they are said to have tried to calm Elijah down. In the conversation that followed, one of the police officers even asked him which operator (playable character in Rainbow Six Siege) was his favorite.
What was a hopefully unique experience for Elijah, some Twitch streamers have to put up with regularly, sometimes several times a week. Again and again, nasty viewers send the police to them and claim that a crime has been committed.
